My Farewell PArty + A Crazy Adventure

So my farewell party today turned out to be a bigger adventure than expected. It was kind of like a family gathering, except it was a two family reunion, like my dad's friend's family was ther too. It was all great cus we knew each other. My calabash cousin Eric Wat was there and he brought his one friend and I brought pretty much all my friends that were still here, mostly UH kids. Oh, but Vanessa didn't come. It all started out farely OK like we had a potluck, swam, played some football.

But the real adventure started when we decided to play some tennis...

So we decided that the tennis courts were very far away and that we needed 3 cars to fit everyone inside. Judy drove her car, I drove mine, and Eric drove my Uncle Ludy's car. Of course we had trouble finding parking so, Eric and I (stupidly) decide to park behind some parked cars, which was of course illegal. I have no idea how Judy found a legal parking stall... mad skill. We aked the people at the picnic area near the parked cars if the cars were theres and they said yeah and that it was okay if we parked there for two hours. My sister decides to drive my car back since she reall didn't feel like playing tennis and she had her Italian friend with her.

We had a great time playing tennis. Me and Jade (my dad's friend's 7th grader daughter) played against Daniel and Creighton and the score was 4-4, 30-40 when I have an epiphany (is that the right word) and ask Eric to check on the car. He tells my little kid cousin Max (the son of Uncle Ludy) and of course he comes running back screaming THE CAR's GONE! So me, Max, Eric, and Eric's friend Josh are all like OH SHIT. We ran to the parked cars area and talked to some witnesses. It was about 6:50 when we realized this and we knew that we had to leave the park place at 8:00 cuz that's when it closes. The local guy told us that the tow truck just left when Max came running over....WHAT LUCK. He said there were two cops following it too. He said the car was blocking some Japanese guy's car and he waited around and tried to look for us before he called the polic. We were thinking oh shit what do we do. So we made a plan to not inform the parentals since it would totally ruin the party and everyone would have to leave right then. we run back to the courts where everyones still playing tennis and ask Judy to borrow her car. She agrees to drive us to the car tow place in Mapunapuna (we found the address through HPD) and Judy has mad driving skills too. Luckily she had a map too in her car. Oh man we were so lucky. We left Magic Island at about 6:57 and got to the place in Mapunapuna at 7:10. There was this window at the car tow place called Stoneridge. There was no one at the window....of course! and so we're like hello! anyone there ! I whistled for some reason....and then we here someone go, "YEAH!" and we hear them talking on the phone. So we're like oh shit we made them mad, now theyr'e gonna take longer. So wen the black guy finally came to the counter he was helping out this other couple before us since apparently he couldnt find change for them and they only take cash. We had called him on the way there to make sure we had everything we needed and that we didn't need to own the car to get it back. We had told him that it was our uncle's and that he lent it to us for the weekend. So he kind of knew us. He was kind of laughing too, thank god he wasn't in a bad mood or anything. He told us that he thought he was talking to a white boy on the phone when he was talking to Eric. So we're like yeah when we get scared our white side shows :D so he makes small talk with us like so you guys related? i said no we're just friends calabash cousins. he said that judy should be the calabash cousin since shes the only one that's not japanese. -___- very funny black guy im Chinese...well anyways im like WTF give us our car already!!!!! he goes on an says "so u guys going to UH?"....."So now you have a car towing experience added to ur summer...."And finally we get the car, hes like u guys can drive it off the lot in the back. We're like victory!! So me and Eric run to the car and as we were driving by we picked up all the tennis kids and drove back to the picnic area. It was 7:34 when we got back!! Our parents were waiting for us and wondering where we were. We just told them we went to get drinks at Ward.....:) and there was a long line. I laughed when I saw Uncle Ludy...he was so naive :) Oh yeah and that's him in the middle. Max is in green, Eric, Me and my sister. We took this picture in the parking lot right after we got back. So it was 167$ for the tow and we didnt even look at teh citation on the windsheiled wiper yet. Eric just stuffed it in his pocket. Damn what a day.
